In order to take your measurements we recommend that you use a professional seamstress. Do not attempt to take your own measurements as they will be wrong. The purpose of taking your measurements is to ensure an exact fit for you, therefore the more accurate the measurements the more accurate your dress will be.

Use a vinyl tape measure as fabric ones tend to stretch over time and your dress may be ordered too small.

When you measure, wear shoes with a similar heel to the ones you will wear on your wedding day to ensure correct height and wear a similar bra and similar underclothes or petticoat.

Bust		Not your bra size! Take the tape around your back and bring it across your nipple line (typically the fullest part of the breast). Your arms should be relaxed, down at your sides.
Natural waist		This is the smallest part of your waist. Typically it’s an inch or so above your belly button.
Hips		This is widest part of your hips, across the hip bone.
Low Hip		Find your Natural Waist and then measure around your hips 7 inches below that.
Hollow to hem		Start the tape at the hollow at the base of your neck and measure down to where you want the hem. If your skirt will be full, be sure to measure out at an angle to allow for the fullness. Also, be sure you’re wearing the same height heel you’ll wear on your wedding day.
Inside sleeve		Start the tape in your armpit and measure your straight arm to the wrist.
Arm girth		Relax your arm and measure around the largest part of the upper arm.
Centre back width		This is the measurement from shoulder blade to shoulder blade.
Waist to hem		Measure from your Natural Waist to where you want the hem to be. Be sure you’re wearing the same height hell you’ll wear on your wedding day.
Nape to waist		Measure from the base of the neck at the back to the Natural Waist.
